In this episode, we are joined by Taicea Agnew, the CE of Youth Opportunities to discuss the different types of leadership programs, which are tailored to all kinds of youth needs but uphold the same core principles. Generation Thrive is a program which offers personal leadership and wellbeing programs for youth, with its profits going towards supporting disadvantaged schools.
We talked about the importance of collaboration to boost youth development and employability. As well as the need to tackle peer pressure in schools via wellbeing programs which address mental health, empower students to make positive choices and communicate effectively. It's not just about jobs though - the program also offers training in key life skills like communication and empathy, which can really make a difference in relationships between young people and adults.
